Testimonial's - As the era of the baby boomers reach retirement age “Personal Medical Alert
System’s” are becoming an important part of their everyday lives.  Having a personal medical alarm
can go along way to help our aging population live a safe, independent life.  Many people have
found that their personal medical alert have made a great difference in how they are able living
their lives. The peace of mind that comes with a personal medical alert system can be realized in
the comments that have been made by the following owners of a personal medical alarm.

My husband and I decided last year to try Seconds Count, as we aren't getting any younger and
you never know when you will need help.  I am so thankful we did get Seconds Count, as we
needed it a few weeks ago.  My husband was in bad pain in his knee, it was Sunday morning.  I
helped him all I could, and then I called the ambulance to take him to the E.R.  They arrived real
quick, and without a siren like I asked.  They were so efficient and we are so thankful for Seconds
Count.

It’s wonderful not to have monthly monitoring fees.  I checked out a lot of personal medical alert
systems, this one by far is the best you can buy and I own it.”

“I live in the country down a long lane.  The emergency strobe light allows my squad to find me
quickly now.  I had my son stop by to help hook up the Seconds Count Personal Medical Alarm, it
was so easy to hook up, and he didn’t have to help me.  Nothing electronic is ever that easy.  I told
him not to push the panic button but you know kids at whatever age, don’t always listen.  The 911
dispatcher ask how she could help, right now.  I couldn’t believe how quickly she answered.  I was
impressed and of course the emergency strobe light was strobing away.  My son couldn’t believe
this personal medical alarm system has no monitoring fees and we own it and can take it to our
winter home in Florida.”

“I heard about this 911 Personal Medical Alert System called Seconds Count and I spoke to my wife
about purchasing this product for our home.  I told here we would own the medical alarm and have
no monthly fees to pay.  When I told her the price she said, that is very reasonable.  We have had
a lot of break-ins in our community and I believe this medical alarm could possibly save our lives.  If
we were to call 911 on our telephone or press the blue 911 panic button the emergency strobe light
would come on, this would tell the intruder we have dialed 911 and he will scoot.  The emergency
strobe light would also alert our neighbors that we have a problem and need help now.  This is a
great life saving product.  After receiving the 911 personal medical alert system I couldn’t believe
the quality of it.”

“We Can’t Help You Until We Find You.”
There is a new, unique emergency alert system that is the best system I’ve seen to help us find you
in an emergency especially at night said Chief Bowerman of the Union Township Life Squad.
If an emergency arises, the user can press the help button and talk with their local 911 Dispatcher
through the help button 500 to 600 feet inside or outside their residence.
Pressing the help button will automatically activate the strobe light that’s kept in the trafficlane
window of the residence. The strobe light is designed to allow emergency personnel to find the
emergency residence quickly at night.
“We should see the strobe light flashing up to a mile away and this would be very helpful for us as
we have to slow down at each residence to try and read addresses until we find yours. It is very
difficult at times as not every residence has a clearly marked address. The time saved by us greatly
enhances your chances of survival.” Bowerman said. “We can’t help you until we find you,” says
Chief Gerald Bowerman.
If a person stops breathing, rescue personnel have only four minutes to reach you and start
resuscitation before irreversible brain damage begins, explains Bowerman.
“That’s four minutes between life and death, so we have to make every Second Count,” he said.
Most seniors suffer or die from heart disease, blood loss and strokes — the three leading causes of
death. One-third of all heart-attack victims die --- one every minute mainly because help didn’t
arrive on time. Stroke also is a significant cause of adult disability; many strokes are preventable
and treatable with prompt medical attention.
Additionally, seniors have the greatest risk of fire deaths. Injuries sustained from falls are the
leading cause of accidental death or loss of independence for one in three seniors yearly,
according to reports.
After a bad fall or critical emergency, 90% of people who get help quickly will survive and continue
independent living.
“Finding and treating you within those first critical minutes, and then getting you to the hospital
quickly is our goal. With the Seconds Count 911 System in your home, we should be able to use
those vital minutes to your advantage,” said Bowerman.
Prior to this system, elderly and disabled persons were limited to a stationary monitoring base or
having emergency pull cords in their homes that connect with someone other than a 911
dispatcher. Pull cords are ineffective as you can become ill or injured away from the cord. Other
systems connect you to a monitoring service provider prior to 911 being called.
With this new system, residents are connected immediately with a 911 dispatcher saving time when
you critically need it. NENA has approved this 911 System for all National Emergency Number
Association’s in the United States of America.
“Features are that the Seconds Count 911 pendant can be worn around your neck, clipped on a
belt or carried in a pocket at all times and the pendant is water resistant. This should give seniors
the freedom, safety and peace of mind to move about their homes,” Bowerman explained.
With a very low one-time purchase price, no monitoring fee‘s or contracts, very easy installation,
ten year warranty and a twenty year life expectancy, this 911 System is one-of-a-kind. “I hope it
catches on quickly, as I am sure it will help us in our aid to save lives.” Bowerman said.
